Future Value of Players – List

Below is an interactive table that contains data from all 572 players who currently have a VR-Score, showing their 8-year future value (a projected total of their PR-Scores for the next eight years). To make the list a little wider, I included 4-year future values and ranks. Older players will rank higher in the 4-year future values because they are more likely to retire or decline after the fourth season.

In the column headers, “F.V.” stands for Future Value. The columns are:

  1. Player Name.
  2. 8-Year Future Value (the predicted sum of their PR-Scores for the next eight seasons).
  3. 8-Year Future Value Rank.
  4. 4-Year Future Value (the predicted sum of their PR-Scores for the next four seasons).
  5. 4-Year Future Value Rank.

The records can be sorted by any of the columns. Just click on the Header that you want to sort by. The first time you click on the Header, the table will be sorted by that column alphabetically. While the 2nd time you click on the Header, the table with be sorted in reverse alphabetical order.

The Search function goes through the player names and will display all the rows that contain the text entered in the Search Box. For example, if you were to type “Alex” in the Search Box the table would display all players like Alex Galchenyuk, Alexis Lafreniere and Alexander Alexeyev.

If the Search function is used after the table was sorted using any of the Headers, the table will remain in the sorted order while only displaying the rows containing the text in the Search Box.

Once you have entered text in the Search Box you can sort the rows that contain the text by any of the Headers.

Under the title “Search by the Following” the rows can be additionally filtered by the rows listed and by the items in the drop-down list shown for each column. By clicking on the item selected the filtering for that column is cleared.

The table initially show all the rows however you can select how many rows that you would like to display on a page by selecting the number of show entries (10, 25, 50, 100 or all). You would then use the Next or Previous, located at the bottom of the page, to navigate between pages.
